Damn that hurts, the search for the Holy Grail goes on…
Earlier this morning, after letting our cantankerous old cat out and in between making my wife’s coffee, then her lunch (for later) and defrosting her car (in April?) I was hurriedly checking my emails as per.
Anyway, one of my mentors introduced me to this neat little tool. And my little pea brain thought, Huh? maybe I should test some of the headlines from my blog posts/emails. You see, my email subscribers also receive my blog posts as daily emails along with first dibs on my paid products before I launch them…
So I thought it’d be a useful exercise. Wanna see some results?
- 99% for “Why I do What I Do”
- 98% for ”Can You Sell Services By Email?”
- 97% for “Why Should Anyone Want Regular Emails From You?”
OK. Now that I’ve locked my ego away in the cupboard. What does this mean for you?
Well, your #1 objective when sending an email to your prospect or client is to make sure they open it
Because if they don’t open it, you have no chance of getting them to read it which is your 2nd objective.
And if they don’t read it, there is ZERO chance they will click/answer your call to action (CTA)
(That could mean a lost sale if it was a sales page or Buy It Now link. Ouch! )
And that my friend, is your 3rd objective of your email.
That’s it for today, a nice short & sweet one. I’m off to chat up some alpacas on my daily walk in them thar hills…
